Judge Upholds Military Commission Act

In the first ruling to address the much-maligned Military Commission Act, which denies foreign detainees the right to directly challenge their detention in US courts, federal Judge James Robertson sided with government and upheld the new terror law.

Chapman's Reply to Phillies

No, I'm running for the Libertarian Party nomination, along with other nominations because I want to save this country, but I must admit that I'm finding much hostility to Libertarian ideas within the Libertine ranks of the Libertarian Party ranks. I hope that not everyone is an ACLU member, who subverts the intent of "separation of church and state" in Jefferson's writings, etc. I hope that not everyone in the LP hates the idea of religious freedom is public schools, where Christians and Marxists can coexist. I hope not everyone in the LP wants to kick nativity scenes (Christian religion) off the public square in favor of the one religion (highest truth) loved by Marx -- Atheism or non-theism. I'm for all religions being allowed in public, not just the Communist religion that seems so clearly imposed by the ACLU, of which you are a member.

(Sorry for keeping you and the others accountable to the American people. It's just something I'm born to do, so I' can't help it. People ask me why politicians are not held accountable, so I feel obliged to do it.)

respectfully,

Gene Chapman

Gene Chapman is running for the Constitution Party nomination. His campaign planks are appropriate for that party, which is generally antiLibertarian in its attitudes.

Aaron Russo Movie Back In Google Top 100

We just experienced two HUGE back to back days of viewings on Google Video. But when you look at the viewing chart you will notice that this was AFTER two MASSIVE viewing days - 12/8 and 12/9 - when close to 60,000 views of AFTF were recorded. I/we missed the actual rank during those days, but our guess is that we might have made it into the Top 10.

Update from Art Farnsworth

If you have not yet heard via the media, the jury came back after just one hour of deliberation with a guilty verdict on all three counts, late Friday afternoon. The defense rested earlier that day, and due to the number of jury instructions, the jury did not go out to deliberate until around 3:30 p.m. That would have been enough to worry me, save for the fact that I believed we had prevailed to that point in what was generally considered to be a fair trial. The jury returned at 4:30, per the judge's instructions, not with a request to come back on Monday, but with verdict sheets in hand. It was then that I started to worry.
